Oh What the Garden Knows

This morning at 6 AM, I was out in my garden. I was almost sleep walking. I didn’t dress or drag a comb through my hair first. I didn’t even brush my teeth! I just went out back and got right to tending to the pumpkins.

The urgency to get to the garden had, of course, nothing to do with the pumpkins though I am excited to watch those seedlings grow. Pumpkin plants are hardy, wild, throw out spools of riotous vines. My…
